Why Counselling?

Everyone has times in their life when it would be helpful to talk to someone who is independent and a skilled listener. Peninsula Therapy offers a safe, non-judgemental space for you to be able to talk through any issues you might be facing. This may include managing worries, overcoming a stressful event, or adjusting to changes in your life.

Why Peninsula Therapy?

I believe that effective Counselling is not simply talking about your problems. Effective Counselling also involves actively finding solutions for your problems, or learning ways to accept the things you are not able to change.

Who can Peninsula Therapy work with?

While I am skilled at working with people at all stages of life, I have specialised skills in working with women who are pregnant or have recently given birth and are experiencing anxiety, depression or difficulties with adjustment; women who are experiencing difficulties in the first few years of parenthood as well as women experiencing relationship difficulties. I am also able to help anyone who is experiencing anxiety, depression, grief or loss at any stage of their life.

About

With many years of Psychology and Counselling experience, I have a broad range of skills that will assist you to work through problems or challenges you may be facing. I have worked in clinical mental health settings, academic research settings, as well as private practice.

I believe that an integrative approach works best in therapy – that is, I have skills in different treatment theories and work with you to find what fits best with you, your experiences and beliefs. Primarily I draw on techniques based in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Schema Therapy.

I have professional rooms conveniently located in Mornington and Rosebud.
