IS TRANSPERSONAL ART THERAPY OKAY TO DO WHILST I SEE A PSYCHOLOGIST?
Yes, art therapy is often used in conjunction with other psychological services. It is worthwhile talking to your psychologist or counsellor about using art therapy as part of your treatment options.
ABOUT LORETTA
I'm a qualified Transpersonal Art Therapist and registered with the Australian Counselling Association and with the Australian Association of Holistic and Transpersonal Counsellors. My passion lies in helping people deal with emotional issues and crisis.
After practicing as an artist for many years. I was interested in how art could be beneficial for mental health. This led me to study mental health under the transpersonal model, a psycho-spiritual approach to wellbeing. In particular how the transpersonal model in conjunction with art and expressive therapy, could be beneficial for overall mental health and wellbeing. I'm now in the process of furthering my studies at the University of Melbourne in the area of Psychology.
I specialize in the mental wellbeing of men and women. My goal is to empower people to move on from past issues and to live a fulfilled happy life.
