What is Kinesiology
Kinesiology is a non-invasive methodology using muscle feedback and body awareness, that can help the individual to reduce stress and pain, improve performance in work, learning, sport etc, generate balance and harmony in life and relationships, and promote health and well-being. Being a Mind-Body Modality, it promotes Physical, Emotional, Mental and Spiritual Wellbeing. These two were brought together by a doctor called Dr Goodheart in the 1960’s.
How does kinesiology work?
The Kinesiology Practioners Accreditation Board describe Kinesiology as follows:
"Kinesiology is defined primarily as the use of muscle testing to identify imbalances in the body’s structural, chemical, emotional or other energy, to establish the body’s priority healing needs, and to evaluate energy changes brought about by a broad spectrum of both manual and non-manual therapeutic procedures."
The focus is on finding and alleviating the causes behind the symptoms. Once the cause is identified through muscle testing, different processes are used to remove the related stresses and the body and mind are free to heal.
How can Kinesiology help me?
Kinesiology is non-invasive, safe and comfortable therapy. Using a gentle bio-feedback system of muscle testing, Kinesiology can identify blockages in our natural energy flow. These blockages can result from physical or emotional trauma, nutritional or chemical imbalances and unresolved stress.
Once the cause is identified through muscle testing, different processes are used to remove the related stresses and the body and mind are free to heal. Techniques can range from rubbing acupressure points, tracing meridians, balancing energy, lifestyle changes, goal setting, discussing emotional issues and concerns, nutritional, changes and physical movements.
