About Me
Hi I’m Paul. Originally from Manchester UK. I relocated to Dublin in my mid twenties where I worked in the fitness industry for over ten years, whilst continously upskilling. I studied Anatomy, Physiology, Neuromuscular Physical Therapy, Othopeadic Sports Massage, Swedish Massage and Personal Training. I relocated to Melbourne, Australia in early 2017 and set up my Massage Therapy practice.
So, if you're suffering from an annoying sports injury you picked up at the gym, a nagging back pain or somewhere else in your body or you just want to treat yourself to a nice de-stressing massage; it's all my speciality - I have strong, soft hands with a gentle touch.
I offer a friendly, professional service either from my therapy room in Preston Vic, with parking and shower facility available or I can travel to your home, workplace or hotel room for your comfort and convenience.
SERVICES
Relaxation/Swedish Massage
Swedish massage is a form of relaxation massage and is probably the best-known type of massage performed today. One of the primary goals of the Swedish massage technique is to relax the entire body. This is accomplished by rubbing the muscles with long gliding strokes in the direction of blood returning to the heart, however Swedish Massage Therapy goes beyond relaxation. Swedish massage is exceptionally beneficial for increasing the level of oxygen in the blood, decreasing muscle toxins and improving flexibility while easing tension.
Deep Tissue Massage
Deep tissue massage is a type of massage aimed at the deeper tissue structures of the muscle and fascia, also called connective tissue. Deep tissue massage uses many of the same movements and techniques as Swedish massage, but the pressure will generally be more intense. It is also a more focused type of massage, as the therapist works to release chronic muscle tension or knots (also known as "adhesions.")
Remedial Massage
Remedial massage targets your injuries and strains to improve and maintain your body’s function. A remedial massage involves the use of different massage techniques, including deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, muscle energy techniques, direct and indirect myofascial techniques, and neuromuscular facilitation.
Trigger Point and Physical Therapy
Treating all types of pain and injury from all walks of life, I offer a science based, hands-on therapeutic approach to minor soft tissue injury, muscular dysfunction and myofascial trigger points. The therapy I use is effective on painful conditions such as sprains/strains, low back pain, sciatica, back/neck and shoulder pain, repetitive stress disorders, varying types of sports injuries, like Runner’s Knee, shin splints, and rotator cuff problems, but to name a few.
Sports Massage
Sports Massage is used before, during, and after athletic and sporting events. You don't have to be a professional athlete to have a sports massage. People who are active and work out often will benefit from a sports massage. The strokes are faster and will often use a variety of massage techniques, such as deep tissue and trigger point therapy. Facilitated stretching is also a technique used in sports massage and it helps to loosen muscles and increase flexibility. The focus isn't on relaxation but on preventing and treating the injury as well as enhancing athletic performance.
