Dr Pamela Dennis, Osteopath, has practiced in Hobart and surrounding region since 2000, committed to all aspects of Osteopathic Health Care for her patients.

Pamela completed in a Postgraduate Diploma of Pain Management from Otago University (NZ) in 2018. Applying current research in neuroscience, neurobiology and neuroplasticity within the BPS model for persistent pain management.

Pamela has studied post graduate courses in Osteopathy in the Cranial Field and uses indirect Balanced ligamentous treatment as a tool in her practice. The combination of indirect techniques along with a evidence based structural techniques from her 5 years training at Victoria University Graduating in 1999, provides the basis of her treatment.

GEMt (Global Education of Manual Therapists) - Pamela is an advanced level three practitioner, see www.GEMtinfo.com.au. for more information., Pamela now in Sorell, can offer you Dry Needling techniques (over 16 years experience) and Osteopathy for pain relief in acute muscle strains and sports injury management.

At Sorell Allied health hub within the Dentists of Tasmania building, Pamela uses EMS Radial Shockwave therapy for tendonitis, plantar fasciitis, enthesopathies, muscle and joint injuries where it is clinically indicated.  Using the Dolorclast Radial Shockwave is a superior product that is evidence based for many sports injuries and musculoskeletal issues. 

Pamela also continues her post graduate development undertaking training in Nutritional health in the areas of musculo-skeletal, pre-conception, pregnancy, menopause and arthritis which enables her to use the BIopsychosocial model of care to give advice on diet and supplements if required.

Lifestyle coaching in areas of diet, exercise prescription and stretches are part of the support given in association with hands-on treatment. Workplace assessment, ergonomics and postural alignment are all areas which Pamela can assist you with. She has been involved in several workplace health care programs and has given seminars, educational talks and individual assessments in the corporate and educational arenas.

Consultations are usually 20- 45 minutes which enable a more comprehensive understanding of factors that are effecting your body and gives plenty of time for treatment and discussion of diet, exercise prescription and self-management.

Rebates are available through Private Health Insurance (Extras cover) and Medicare with referral from your GP through Allied Health Care Plans (if eligible). DVA - registered provider for Sorell with no out of pocket expense for DVA.
