About Max

Max is a fully qualified Naturopath, Constitutional Homoeopath and Doctor of Chinese Medicine. He completed his Naturopathic qualifications at the Southern School of Natural Therapies. He then pursued further training in Homoeopathy at the Homoeopathic College of Victoria and completed his Masters in Acupuncture at RMIT University. Max is a member of the Australian Natural Therapists Association (ANTA), is registered with the Chinese Medicine Board of Australia, AHPRA and has been in private practice for over 20 years.

Max treats all facets of health with over 20 years experience treating both adults and children. He treats a wide range of conditions but has a special interest in dealing with the underlying emotional causes of illness. Max’s aim is to address the true causes of illness and pain and he is committed to helping you remove any obstacle that restricts your ability to live a more fulfilling life.

Acupuncture

Traditional Chinese Medicine is a comprehensive medical system originally developed in China over two thousand years ago and currently practiced all over the world. Like Homoeopathy it is a natural and holistic medicine that views illness as a state of imbalance within the body and acknowledges the role unresolved emotions have on disrupting physical and mental health. Acupuncture uses very fine, sterile, single use needles to activate specific points along the meridians (channels) of the body to restore the correct flow of energy.

Homoeopathy

Homoeopathy is a system of medicine which uses natural plant and mineral based substances in minute doses to stimulate the body’s own healing mechanisms. It works on the principle of “like cures like”, that is, a substance that can cause symptoms in a person, can also cure those same symptoms, if given in the correct dosage. Homoeopathic medicine considers the whole person. Remedies are selected to match your physical, mental and emotional symptoms.

Naturopathy

Naturopathy is a wholistic system of medicine that acknowledges the innate intelligence our body has to heal itself when provided with all the raw material it needs and when obstacles that hinder this same process are removed. It helps to educate you in healthy eating and lifestyle patterns that promote good health by ensuring your body has what it needs to function well and removes unhealthy eating and lifestyle patterns that work against you. Naturopathy uses herbal medicines, food as medicine, supplements and lifestyle changes, to assist your body in achieving balance and good health. It’s also an excellent foundation for preventative medicine.
