Why do I need BodyTalk?
We all experience stress, be it in the mind, body or spirit. In fact, it’s the number one cause of disease in the world because it causes the natural communications lines in the body to break down. When the body forgets how to communicate with itself, injury and illness occur. BodyTalk is safe, effective and non invasive and can be used on its own or can complement other forms of healthcare - alternative or conventional.
Healing
The body is designed to heal and grow – physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. The body and mind are not separate.
Co-ordination
If all our parts are communicating and the brain can co-ordinate everything, we heal and grow.
Stress
All types of stress (physical, emotional, environmental etc) cause breakdowns in the body’s already busy lines of communication. The body is a complex and amazing mechanism with each of its systems, cells and atoms in constant communication. Unfortunately, the stresses of everyday life can compromise these lines of communications or overload the energy circuits.
Breakdowns
When there is a communication breakdown, the body will adapt, but will also become less efficient. The parts forget how to work as a team and start segmenting. A symptom is the last stage of imbalance – the body is calling out for help – it needs to be heard.
How does BodyTalk work?
In a BodyTalk session, the practitioner asks questions of the client’s body to find out what area is a priority to address. A light tapping technique is used. Tapping on the head stimulates the brain centre and triggers the brain to re-evaluate the state of the body's health. Stimulating the heart by tapping the sternum assists the heart in storing the corrected energy patterns in the body's cellular memory.
Prioritising
In BodyTalk, we respect the order of factors to be addressed, ad determined by the body’s innate wisdom. Just as the body heals a wound with a particular sequence of chemical reactions, the body wants to address all healing in a certain order. This concept is paramount in the balancing process to initiate the body's ability to heal itself.
Integration
Once the body has been reminded of the issue, it can initiate its own healing processes. Your body knows how to heal itself. It just needs to remember how.
