Services Offered
Individual Sessions
You may find that your daily activities at work and at home become more difficult, such as getting up from your bed, gardening, sports, walking, sitting, and using your computer.
Both Feldenkrais and Somatic Experiencing are innovative systems based on the notion that change is always possible, and to facilitate change, your body and mind must be addressed.
At your first session, you and Lisa can talk about as much of your story as you want to share and figure out how you want to improve.
She may use more of a Feldenkrais approach that improves your ease and comfort when moving, interacting with your daily activities, and taking the time to explain why you do what you do you habitually.
In some cases, Somatic Experiencing may be more effective in resolving the symptoms of particularly traumatic events, or in treating physical symptoms of stress, anxiety, and trauma.
Lisa's commitment is to create a comfortable, safe environment where she can support and guide you as you relax, explore, learn and grow.
You may lay fully clothed on the table and be treated with gentle hands-on techniques, or you may stand or sit while being treated.
It’s a collaborative process where Lisa is guided by your responses.
You will usually find something new or interesting in the way you feel and move at the end of the session. To ensure that your progress continues, Lisa often suggests something you can do at home.
Each session aims to expand on what you have learned so far.
