Our varied program offers classes by highly qualified Tibetan and Western Buddhist teachers as well as regular meditation sessions, urban non-residential retreats, healthy living classes and a monthly group for parents & children to come together.
We follow the Gelug lineage of Tibetan Buddhism as founded by Lama Tsong Khapa (1357-1419) and are affiliated with the Foundation for the Preservation of the Mahayana Tradition (FPMT) an international non-profit organization founded in 1975 by Lama Thubten Yeshe (1935-84). The Foundation is devoted to the worldwide transmission of the Mahayana Buddhist tradition and its values through affiliated centres. study groups and project services.
Lama Yeshe’s vision was that every living being has the potential to be free from suffering and to develop limitless love and compassion for others. Our spiritual director is Lama Zopa Rinpoche, a close disciple of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, and we strive to follow the example and inspiration of the Dalai Lama in his compassionate service to humanity.
