Kacey
Kacey is the founder and director of Kula Yoga. Her love for travel led her to beautiful Whistler, Canada where she completed her teacher training at YYOGA Neoalpine in Hot Yoga, with a further intensive in Power Vinyasa. She has also attended workshops and intensives with some incredible teachers including Jimmy Barkan (The Barkan Method), John Friend and Chris Chavez (Anusara), Manju Jois (Ashtanga) and Donna Farhi.
With a background in gymnastics, Kacey was drawn to yoga for the physical benefits. She soon found value in the blissful mind-body connection that continuously inspires her to practice. She sees the mat as a powerful source we can plug into, to spark a positive and healthy life. She is a dynamic and engaging teacher, able to introduce beginners to yoga with ease, while encouraging advanced students to try new poses and to find challenges in the poses they may already know.

Clare
Clare’s love of yoga began ten years ago during a relaxed yoga session in the beautiful gardens of a friend’s beach side Balinese home. How could you not fall in love! Over this time, Clare not only carried a passion for yoga, but for creativity, teaching children and family life. Having experienced a little of all, Clare has now been involved in the Creative Industries, taught children in an Early Childhood setting, sparking the interest for ‘yoga for kids’ and has a beautiful family with three gorgeous cheeky children. Clare completed the Rainbow Kids Yoga Teacher Training in June of 2011, and also undertook a more personal journey through the many styles of yoga including Gita, Vinyasa Power Flow, Ashtanga and finally Barkan Method Hot Yoga.
It was the strong, dynamic practice of Ashtanga and the Barkan Method Hot Yoga that really seemed to resonate with Clare. “These styles allowed for a focused yet forceful practice to take place and a vibrant moving meditation to occur.” So, it was only natural that Clare undertake the Barkan Method Hot Yoga 200 hr Teacher Training when it came to Melbourne.Clare can’t wait to bring her love of yoga and her teaching experience into the studio for all who want to practice, young and the young at heart.

Lauren
Lauren’s love for body movement began when she was 3 years old. She started dancing classes as a hobby and soon this hobby turned into a great passion. In her late teens Lauren first tried yoga out of curiosity. She immediately fell in love as she found the movement and dynamics of yoga very similar to dance.
Lauren knew this was just the start of something spectacular. After practising many different styles for over 5 years it was the meditation aspect of the practice that Lauren truly fell in love with. Lauren practices yoga not just for the health and fitness of the body, but to relax and quieten the mind.
In August 2012 Lauren studied with Jimmy Barkan and completed the 200 hour Yoga Alliance Teacher Training course to become a certified yoga teacher. Lauren teaches Hot Yoga and Vinyasa Flow. Through yoga Lauren aims to inspire her students to see their infinite potential, embrace every opportunity and to live the life they truly desire.

In 2012, Emma completed her 500 hour Yoga Teacher Training Advanced Diploma at the Australian Yoga Academy, Melbourne. Emma also holds a Certificate in Vinyasa Teaching from the Australian Yoga Academy and more recently, Emma travelled to the United States to study the 300 hour Jivamukti Teacher Training under the guidance of Shannon Gannon and David Life.

Kristiarne
With a professional background in gymnastics, performing arts, contemporary dance and fine arts, Kristiarne’s deep love affair with yoga truly began five years ago as she practiced her first Vinyasa class. It’s freedom to allow you to move with fluency and breath was like dancing and challenged me both physically and mentally in a way I had never felt before.
This passion led me to complete my 200 hour teacher training with Duncan Peak at Power Living in 2012, in which I was immediately inspired to teach directly afterwards. Since then I have trained with an array of wonderful teachers such as Simon Park, Noah Maze and Eoin Finn and continue to be inspired each day by my students and peers. Passing on and facilitating this truly transformative practice to others has become one of the most powerful and humbling experiences in my life to date.

Sarah
Sarah first found yoga in 2001 while studying dance at the Centre for Performing Arts in South Australia. During a gruelling 3 year dance stint, a regular yoga practice became a necessity. Not only for its strengthening aspects, postural improvements and balance of the body, but most importantly for its amazing healing benefits.
Since leaving Adelaide and moving to Melbourne 8 years ago, Sarah has opened and run two successful school based dance companies, the latest being her very own. When looking for something to take time out of such an intense teaching schedule, Sarah found Hot Yoga. After the first class she was hooked!
And so, it seemed like a natural progression to then do her 200 hour Barkan Method Hot Yoga Teacher Training with Jimmy Barkan, and to share her passion and appreciation for yoga with others. Sarah is looking forward to doing the dance of yoga with you in the studio soon!
