Bowen Therapy is a dynamic remedial bodywork technique empowering the body’s own healing resources to achieve balance & harmony. Bowen Therapy is an effective and unique series of moves at precise locations on muscles and connective tissue throughout the body.
Latest research shows these specific locations correlate markedly with the meridian energy system & acupressure points used in Traditional Eastern Medicine, and myofascial trigger point theories.
How Is The Therapy Applied?
This treatment is gentle, relaxing and non-invasive. It involves applying finger or thumb pressure in a series of rolling movements at precise locations. The treatment may be performed through loose light clothing. The uniqueness of Bowen is the regular pauses between the series of moves allowing your body time to receive and respond to the stimulus.
Remedial Treatment – in contrast to a typical Bowen Therapy treatment, a remedial treatment focuses only on the tender areas using much firmer application to bring relief.
Maintenance Program
You do not need to be unwell to benefit from the therapy – Bowen’s ability to establish and maintain balance and regularity throughout the entire body system is an ideal way to maintain optimal health and wellness.

Sessions are specific to each client’s requirements. Bowen Therapy may be applied as a stand alone treatment or combined with massage.
