Kinesiology is a gentle, non-invasive and drug free therapy integrating the principles of modern health sciences with alternative and traditional medicines. It aims to uncover and then balance the causes behind our problems and symptoms (without diagnosing or prescribing).
Through this modality, profound changes may be experienced emotionally, mentally and physically, thereby increasing a person’s health and wellbeing.
The following list is intended to provide an idea of the scope of application of kinesiology. There are many more possible areas for applying kinesiology so please feel free to contact us.
What is Kinesiology (kin-easy-ology)?
Kinesiology is a complementary medicine aiming to achieve and maintain a state of internal balance, an important characteristic of all living things.
This steady state within the organism is called homeostasis (ho-me-o-stay-sis).
Kinesiology is a wholistic approach incorporating the physical, emotional and mental aspects of our bodies.
How does it work?
Kinesiology is a non-invasive and gentle healing technique, utilising muscle testing and the body’s biofeedback mechanism.
Muscle testing provides information to the brain and body via nerve pathways and gives information from both the conscious and subconscious minds.
Through accessing neurological pathways within the body, Kinesiology can ‘reprogram’ responses to stressors which no longer serve a person. This will create the freedom to choose and bring positive changes and balance into a person’s life.
At the Kinesiology College of Victoria, we follow the principle that the Kinesiologist is the facilitator for the client’s process. The Kinesiologist provides the resources for the client to achieve the defined outcomes. This will be measurable and evidenced through clearly defined goals suitable for the client’s life style.
