What is kinesiology?
Kinesiology is an energetic healing modality that identifies and resolves blockages and imbalances in the body on physical and metaphysical levels. The body has an innate healing intelligence but when stresses interrupt the energy flow it will no longer be able to compensate and symptoms will occur.
Stresses that kinesiology may be able to relieve:
● physical pain
● emotional stress
● depression and anxiety
● chronic fatigue
● headaches
● allergies
● skin conditions
● addictions
● learning difficulties
● postural problems
● digestive disorders
● systemic diseases
● menstrual and fertility problems
● breaking habits big and small
● sleeping problems
An imbalance will affect people in different ways, as we are the by-products of our genetics and all our past experiences. Using kinesiology, Katie will focus on your uniqueness and how the complex, interactive relationships on all levels of your being are functioning.
What does a kinesiology session involve?
After an initial discussion to establish the issue to be worked on, you will be asked to lie on a massage table face up and fully clothed. To discover the blockages that contribute to your imbalances Katie will use muscle testing and find, from the muscle response, the possible causes and the remedies needed to balance the body on all levels.
How does it work?
Kinesiology uses a muscle testing feedback system to access information from your body. An unlocking muscle indicates a stress or imbalance somewhere in the body. Muscle testing bypasses conscious thought processes to access this information from the subconscious via neural pathways and the meridian system. Drawing on Chinese philosophies, kinesiology recognises the integral relationship between flow of energy in a meridian and its related muscles, organs and emotions. Once the dysfunctions are identified, Muscle Response Testing indicates how to correct the imbalances, healing the body at the rate it requires.
What remedies are used?
The remedies used to bring your body back into a state of balance and diffuse stress are gentle and nurturing. They include:
● acupressure
● nutritional support
● flower essences
● aromatherapy
● massaging neuro-lymphatic points
● holding neuro-vascular points
● counselling
Emotional stress diffusion is an important part of the procedure as there is often a causal emotion underlying dysfunctions. By bringing awareness to the conscious mind there is an opportunity to change patterns in the brain that have become entrenched due to past trauma or learned beliefs. This enhanced awareness gives you a greater freedom of choice in decision making, eliminates inappropriate reactions and alleviates anxiety about the future, opening the way to harmony of mind, body and spirit.

TESTIMONIALS
Katies mastery of kinesiology reflects a well-developed expertise and deep-seated understanding of her practice. She is deeply perceptive and has the professional tools to have facilitated some profound, and unforeseen, transitions in my life.
I had 3 sessions at a time when my life was confusing in a way that seemed quite dramatic and somewhat out of my control, and is yet quite normal for most women. Katie identified this transition and helped me to focus and understand it in a helpful and healing way. She has unblocked the joy of life in some hidden part of me that I was unable to reach, and this is manifesting in my life in subtle yet unmistakable ways.
I highly recommend the empathetic and mysterious healing qualities of kinesiology as Katie practices it, and would urge anyone to allow themselves the experience of self-healing and discovery that results from working with her in this way. Annie Edney, Artist
"I really value Katie as a practitioner. She has been one of my anchors in my recovery from a sometimes, debilitating condition. Her compassion and willingness to help others is a true gift. I cannot thank her enough for supporting and believing in me. Katie never gave up; she persisted in finding answers. Kinesiology has restored my health and wellbeing and has helped me to understand the connections between my body, mind and spirit. R. Woods, Teacher and Youth Leader
"Katie offers a unique and holistic approach in the most wonderful of setting in Abbotsford convent. Her Kinesiology practice enables the client to be in a safe environment to share and gather themselves for any life situation. My personal experience was exceptional as Katie helped me see my blind spots in my life that were holding me back and not letting me move onto where I was meant to be going. It helped me heal old wounds and patterns and shift blocked emotional/ physical/ spiritual energy. Katie also does this with such ease, open heart, caring nature and most of all pure love. I would recommend you just give her treatment a try and see for yourself."

DO YOU HAVE TROUBLE SLEEPING?
Disrupted or lack of sleep can impact on our minds and bodies and make our waking hours more challenging. Stress, stimulants and habits can disrupt our body clocks and lead to difficulty thinking clearly, making decisions and metabolising food. If a bad sleeping cycle can be broken, stress and anxiety maybe reduced and hormones balanced. A kinesiology session could help you sleep soundly and wake up feeling refreshed.
