Lecture + Movement Class
Saturday 12th Sept, 11am Charity event – $50
This class covers why movement is not just related to the arms, legs and torso, but also the organs. You will learn to return to baseline fundamental movement functions and how to train to become stronger, reduce aches and pains and increase endurance. Class will run for 2.5 hours. Please wear movement attire and bring a drink bottle and towel. All proceeds go to the Australian Cancer Research Foundation

This class covers the myths and misunderstandings of movement dysfunction and why it may or may not appear as an injury. You will learn about your fundamental baseline movement function and unlock the secrets as to why you’ve trained for so long, without any results.

This class is ideal for those who have trained over a long period of time and have either plateaued or worked themselves into a cycle of injury. You will learn how to move beyond physically demanding, work related plateaus and prevent yourself from performing self-limiting exercises and training yourself into the ground. 2.5 hour class.
Active Release Technique – Spine
DETAILS
The Active Release Technique Spine course comprises 82 protocols including peripheral nerve entrapments. Learn to treat the cervical, lumbar and thoracic spine. Many spine problems necessitate treatment of both the upper and lower extremities. The spine course includes a personalised manual, an instructional DVD and a set of Visible Body codes.
Neuropsychological services for CALD clients
This workshop is specifically designed to assist psychologists, counsellors, social workers and case workers from not-for-profit organisations working with CALD groups to: understand the definition of “intelligence” in different cultures; utilise the Cultural Formulation Interview (CFI) from DSM-5; utilise cognitive impairment screening tools for CALD clients; understand the effects of culture and education on neuropsychological testing; understand the effects of trauma and refugee experience on psychological and neuropsychological presentation; and identify factors that impact on neuropsychological assessment for Indigenous clients.
Neuropsychological functioning in older adulthood
This workshop is designed for: direct care workers or personal care attendants in residential aged care, day care and/or community care; case managers and community support workers for aged care support services; and allied health professionals and allied health assistants. It is particularly relevant for psychologists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, dieticians, podiatrists, and registered or enrolled nurses who work in residential aged care, day care and/or community care.
Mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI) and concussion This workshop is designed for: psychologists; physiotherapists; chiropractors; osteopaths, and exercise physiologists working in the sport industry, as well as club sport trainers of clubs - VFL, AFL, NRL etc.
