Negative Stress is a constant feature of our modern day life and too much negative stress can create an overactivity of the flight/flight response which cause an increase in stress hormones (cortisol & adrenaline) and if this persists too long the imbalance it creates in the body can lead to ill health, digestive issues, physical injuries and anxiety/depression.
Meditation helps to teach us to find inner peace and thus help restore the balance within our body and mind and hopefully help us to regain better health.
Mindfulness meditation helps us to learn how our thoughts and way of reacting to the events in our world bring us disharmony and imbalance. Meditation gives a technique that is simple to use, if practiced, that teaches us to respond rather than react to the events in our lives.
