What Is Cupping?

Cupping is a therapy in which a cup is attached to the skin surface and used to cause local congestion. This form of therapy has been used for hundreds of years by individuals who want to relieve stress, reduce pain and improve the overall functioning of their body. As sessions are tailored to your needs, this form of Chinese Medicine is suitable for everyone - even the Elderly.

How Does It Work?

Cupping involves burning the oxygen that is in the cup, then placing it directly on the skin where it is held in place by a surprisingly strong suction. During this process the skin inside the cup visibly rises and is said to "suck out" the body's toxin. Sessions are relatively pain free and if done correctly, the practice can actually relieve much of the body's discomfort including getting rid of swelling or pain.
