Itay Lahav Counselling & Psychotherapy

I am a Senior Clinical Practitioner, psychodynamic/psychoanalytic psychotherapist, and supervisor with advanced clinical training. I am credentialed in Australia and have 22 years of professional experience, including over a decade as a mental health clinician in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) in New Zealand.

My approach to therapy is unique, as it incorporates multiple modalities and is rooted in my identity and capabilities as a psychoanalytic psychotherapist. I am also an accredited EMDR practitioner, with a primary interest in trauma processing. I have a passion for working with complex presentations and personality Disorders.

I am well-equipped to assist clients with a wide range of mental health issues, including general stress and anxiety, Depression, relationship difficulties, and sleep disorders. My specialty areas include trauma and attachment, and I consciously aim to help individuals explore personal growth and meaning in their lives. I can tailor my approach to fit both short-term, focused sessions and more in-depth, long-term therapy, always prioritizing a safe and effective therapeutic relationship.

I am currently accepting new referrals and work at a cozy private practice located at 280 South Terrace, South Fremantle, 6162 WA. Please note that sessions are not covered by Medicare, and the cost per session is $150.
