What is Reiki?

Reiki is a safe complementary therapy that promotes self healing, relaxation; stress reduction and increases energy levels. Reiki addresses the mental, physical, spiritual and emotional imbalances.

Reiki combines the Japanese and Chinese words of REI (spiritual energy) and KI (life force energy). It is not a religion, and is based on the acceptance of any religious doctrine. Belief systems are not a requirement for Reiki.

Anyone can receive a Reiki treatment, it works in conjunction with all other medical or therapeutic techniques. Reiki is offered in hospitals, cancer units and nursing homes as part of patient services.

REIKI SESSIONS - run for about an hour on average in a relaxing environment. It is applied through safe non-invasive gentle touch. The Reiki practitioner facilitates this life force energy to where clients need it most to balance the subtle energies within the body. Often relaxing music is played and lights are dimmed, crystals and essential oils may also be also used if desired. Clients remain fully clothed at all times and loose, comfortable clothing is recommended. Clients can either lay on a massage table or a comfortable chair.
