What is exercise physiology?

Exercise physiology focuses on providing tailored programs that meet the specific needs of each individual, whether they have an athletic nature or want to restore or maintain their body's peak performance.

What does an exercise physiologist do?

An exercise physiologist has completed a four-year bachelor's degree. They specialise in providing exercise treatment to people with musculoskeletal, cardiovascular or other chronic health conditions. Not only do they keep your body in top shape, but they also treat and prevent injuries while ensuring long-term improvements in your health and overall wellness.

What conditions can exercise physiology help with?

Our exercise physiologists excel in assisting people on the performance side, such as athletes and non-athletes, who need objective testing to improve their levels of fitness, speed or strength.

What can you expect from an appointment with an exercise physiologist?

During your initial consultation with your exercise physiologist, he will first ask about and discuss your specific problem. And after that, they will establish S.M.A.R.T goals that are in line with your goals. They will then administer an assessment to determine your fitness capacity before prescribing you a personalised program.

Throughout the sessions, the exercise physiologist will monitor your exercise routine and provide reference points to help you perform better. Additionally, they will re-evaluate your strength and agility by testing you again and seeing if you were able to reach your goal. Every metric is calculated so that our exercise physiologists can monitor and adjust the program as needed.

Schedule a consultation with us today to reap the benefits of an exercise physiology program.
