Who Am I?

I’m a music industry professional, yoga teacher and wellness advocate based in Melbourne, Australia.

I’m an energetic and enthusiastic hustler who has combined her three passions into one large lifestyle. Working behind the scenes on a multitude of arts projects in Australia’s cultural capital, contributing creatively to the local and wider Australian music scene as a musician and artist, and sharing my passion for mental, physical and spiritual health through yoga and meditation.

My career is built upon my core values of integrity, community, and the quest to never stop learning. I truly believe in the infinite potential of all people and projects, and while I’m busily brainstorming away, I like to think I have a pretty good time!

Projects

I love making things happen.

As a freelance arts manager, I work behind the scenes on some of Australia’s largest festivals, in venues from small to large, indoor to outdoor, and intimate to epic. My skill set allows me to traverse a multi-disciplinary breadth of arts projects, ranging from contemporary music to jazz, theatre to street opera, dance to community outreach, and everything in between.

I believe in the potential of a great idea, and pride myself on my ability to brings projects to fruition through proper planning, getting the right people on board, communicating clearly and prioritising the details.

Why Yoga?

I’ve been practicing yoga for nearly a decade, and the difference it has made to my life has been profound.

The union of breath and movement, in its simplest form, allows me to get out of my head and into my body. What first began as a quest to get a different type of exercise has evolved over the years into the most important and sacred part of my self-care toolkit. Yoga has given me different and deeper perspective on my life, relationships, and purpose, it helps to reduce stress and anxiety, and most important provides a space in which we can process our incredibly busy lives, and just be.

I took my first yoga teacher training two years ago and haven’t looked back since. Practicing and teaching yoga is a lifelong learning journey, and I’m always looking to further my learning in order to offer more to my students, my community, and myself.

My goal as a teacher is to create experiences that will challenge, inspire, and cultivate self-confidence in a safe space. I’m passionate about promoting positive mental health, active living and helping others achieve their potential. My honest belief is that yoga can be for everybody, and that the only kind of flexibility required is mental flexibility! If you’re interested in practicing with me, check out my Classes and Events pages.
