The Mind and Body are deeply interconnected; tapping allows you to create harmony between the two.
What is Tapping?
Tapping is a technique or tool that releases tension, stress, anxiety and more from your body and also has a clearing effect on the mind. It is extremely effective and quick.
It can release or eliminate negative emotions, blockages and beliefs that cause problems such as anxiety, worry, stress, fear, anger, pain, low self-esteem, limiting beliefs, Post Traumatic Stress, trauma and depression to name a few.
This evidence based technique was developed by Gary Craig. EFT is a form of psychological/emotional acupressure. I have used it on myself, my friends, family children as well as clients, it may look a bit unusual at first but once you feel the relief you may be pleasantly surprised!
It is simply a process of stimulating by tapping with two fingers the energy meridian points on your body for relief of emotional and physical problems. These points are part of the meridian system which serves as a channel through which vital energy flows. The entrance to each of these natural pathways is known as acupuncture points.
Why use tapping?
Tapping is a wonderful tool as it helps both your body and mind. The reason why tapping clears so many problems is that, when energy flowing through your body is stuck, tapping gets it flowing again through all the meridians.
When should I use it?
Before, during and after a problem. Like anything, tapping will only work when you use it when you need it, as well as developing a daily or weekly routine to really experience the benefits.
Is it beneficial for children?
Yes! Preschool children are not able to label or understand what they are feeling and why. Children express their emotions by crying, throwing tantrums, screaming and even experiencing social withdrawal. Up until the age of 2-4 years children are sensing and experiencing rather than processing logically.
I'm not getting results - what can I do?
