Craniosacral Therapy
Craniosacral therapy (CST) is a low-risk, potentially highly effective therapeutic technique. It is gentle and non-invasive. It acts therapeutically on the bones, membranes and fluid dynamics of the skull, spine and the pelvis (Craniosacral System) removing restrictions, pressure and movement impairment that impacts the effective functioning of the brain, the spinal cord and the nerves exiting the spinal cord.
The optimisation of the structure and function of the Craniosacral system positively impacts on the health of all other physiological systems, i.e. on the muscular-skeletal, the Nervous System, Vascular, Lymphatic, Endocrine and Respiratory System.
A Typical Treatment
In applying light, informed and precise touch on and around the Craniosacral System I create a therapeutic holding environment in which change and healing happens naturally and effortlessly. I listen to and cooperate deeply with the innate wisdom, rhythms and intelligence of your body and mind. In the silence between us your body teaches me about itself and thus enables me to strengthen its movement towards wellbeing through non-invasive and effective touch.
Craniosacral therapy, among others, acts on the connective tissue membranes surrounding the Craniosacral System. By adding Myofascial Release as a connective tissue specific technique the Craniosacral treatment deepens further. As we work with each other your body lets go of restrictions, structural misalignment and dysfunction. Relaxation, release and alignment result. If need be I add more traditional Remedial Massage techniques. Come home to yourself, be still! In this moment cease all activity, be still!

The Craniosacral System
CST effectively acts on the Craniosacral System. The Cranialsacral System consist of the bones & joints of the skull, of the spine, the sacrum and coccyx, the meninges, the Cerebrospinal fluid, and the structures that produce and house it. Craniosacral Therapy benefits all physiological systems of the human body.
What are the general benefits of Craniosacral Therapy?
Among others, it
