WHAT IS OSTEOPATHY
Osteopathy is a healing modality which recognises that although the body is self-healing and self-regulating, it is dependent on a range of factors which include environment (internal and external), nutrition and structural integrity. It employs accepted medical diagnosis methods combined with specialised techniques developed to enable precise structural assessments.
Osteopathy treats the physical body, joints, muscles and connective tissue, using "hands on" techniques - deep tactile pressure, stretching and manipulation. It has many applications including the treatment of muscular tightness following times of immobility, enhancing range of motion in the joints after muscular or joint strains and breaking down scar tissue caused by trauma. The functioning of the entire body via connections with the nervous, circulatory and lymphatic systems is subsequently improved.
Osteopathy takes a holistic or ‘whole person’, approach to health and includes consideration of the role of exercise programs, diet and nutrition, and emotional wellbeing as important factors in your treatment program. The Osteopath's goal is to restore your innate abilities to heal, by employing a combination of biomechanics, lifestyle improvements, and nutrition.

CRANIAL OSTEOPATHY
This subtle but effective Osteopathic technique encourages stress and tension release throughout the body, including the head. Cranial Osteopathy can be used to treat a variety of conditions and people of all ages, including babies.
MIYODAC THERAPY
Miyodac Technique (MT) is an advanced form of myofascial release and deep tissue treatment and is similar to Graston Technique. MT is used to distinguish and alleviate scar tissue, adhesions and restrictions that can be the cause of pain, weakness and a reduction in mobility.
The success rate of MT in treating common issues like sprains, muscle spasm, carpal tunnel, tennis elbow, Achilles Tendonitis, TMJ and jaw pain, whiplash, shin splints, shoulder problems and a range of other conditions averages 88%.
What's involved and is Miyodac effective?
Miyodac breaks down scar tissue and lessens restrictions in soft tissue with the aid of stainless steel instruments designed to fit the body's contours. The area is scanned and your clinician will then treat the injured tissue, with the goal of bringing relief to your discomfort and restoring normal function.
Miyodac Technique has an average success rate of 88% or more for all conditions treated - without drugs or surgery! MT administers controlled micro trauma to the affected soft tissue structures and stimulates an inflammatory response, which in turn causes remodelling and repair of soft tissues structures. The range of tools employed mean your therapist is able to administer treatment to a specific area. If it's been recommended that you need surgery and you're looking for an alternative, consider Miyodac. Miyodac is non-invasive, efficacious and cost-effective. If you've had surgery and still experience pain or limited mobility, Miyodac might be for you.
