ACUPUNCTURE
Our acupuncturists are qualified, experienced therapists who treat from both our Windsor and Bella Vista clinics.
Acupuncture is a holistic form of healing based on ancient Chinese medicine.
When illness or discomfort impacts a person's Qi or life force, acupuncture attempts to rebalance the mind, body and spirit's energy by encouraging the body to heal itself.
Acupuncturists use needles which are inserted into various points on the body to redirect your Qi into a healthy and balanced dynamic state.
Does acupuncture hurt?
You may feel a slight pinching sensation when the needle is inserted. Most patients soon feel relaxed and often fall asleep during treatment.
Is acupuncture safe?
Our acupuncturists are highly qualified practitioners and registered with ATMS. They use sterile needles during treatments and dispose of the needles in accordance with health regulations.
Will acupuncture help me?
Acupuncture is an effective treatment for hundreds of conditions.
How many sessions will I need?
Every person is different therefore it's best to discuss this with your practitioner during your first appointment.

Dr Sacha Harrison
Acupuncturist
B.Health. Sc. TCM – Cert 4 Birth Doula Services
Member ATMS
Dr Sacha Harrison graduated from UTS in 2015 after spending her childhood growing up around Health Dimensions, watching James and Kerry, her parents, treat people with a wide variety of health issues.
From the age of 14 Sacha performed various roles in the Windsor clinic such as graphic design, painter and labourer, administration and reception, cleaner, and creating her own range of body products for a while. After Sacha finished school she spent several years travelling and gaining life experience before deciding to join the Health Dimensions’ team as a practitioner.
Since graduating, Sacha has continued to deepen her understanding of health by privately studying philosophy, natural law and boundaries, logic and critical thinking, communication techniques, fascial stretches, and biochemistry analysis based on Reams Biological Theory of Ionisation (RBTI), to support her skills as an acupuncturist and herbalist.
Sacha is passionate about helping people find balance within themselves whatever their health issues. She specialises in digestive health, pain, complex trauma, auto-immune issues, communication issues, acute and chronic musculoskeletal issues, emotional issues, mental health, hormonal health, and those tricky cases nobody seems to know quite how to help.
Sacha is a problem solver and recommends lifestyle advice, dietary advice, relationship and communication advice, herbs and stretches as part of her holistic approach to your healing and personal growth. With an empathic and caring manner, Sacha aims to help you recognise and understand your issues and to change your patterns of behaviour and achieve better outcomes.
In her downtime Sacha reads books, collects plants, gardens, discusses politics, enjoys critical thinking and methods of communication, philosophy and the nature of reality. She keeps her hands busy with DIY projects, and performs tribal fusion bellydance. She recently moved to the Illawarra region with her partner and loves living near the beaches and mountains, travelling each week to our Windsor and Bella Vista clinics as well as treating from her Mount Warrigal clinic.
Dr Gumrang Yu
Acupuncturist
B.Sc. (TCM) – Cer.t 4 Reflexology, Dip. Beauty Therapies, NLP Practitioner, Ashati Practitioner and Reiki Master
Member ATMS
Dr Gumrang Yu graduated from the Sydney Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2014 where she studied acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine. In 2017, Gumrang attained her Reiki Master credentials at The Ashati Institute in Sydney and in 2007 she attended the Institute of Advanced Human Communication where she graduated as a Neuro Linguistics Programming Practitioner. In 2003, Gumrang studied at the Australian School of Reflexology and before that, in 1999, she completed a beauty therapist course at The Strand College of Beauty Therapy.
‘My pursuit of natural health knowledge started when I accidentally enrolled in a beauty therapy course where, in part, I studied anatomy and physiology. I discovered the human body is intelligent and amazing. Fortunately this led to further study in Chinese Medicine, Reflexology, NLP, and Energy Healing. As I’ve pursued my spiritual journey as a Buddhist, I’ve become more and more interested in the importance of the bond of mind, body and spirit to achieve optimum health.’
After migrating from South Korea in 1988, Gumrang taught piano and now volunteers at the Buddhist temples she attends, teaching children how to play.
The basis of Gumrang’s practice evolved from her personal health issues as she learned how to heal herself. She specialises in treating menopause after experiencing severe menopausal symptoms. She also has a special interest in treating pain, particularly neck and back pain, after suffering the chronic conditions of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, and through energy healing and meditation Gumrang overcame PTSD.
Gumrang’s cosmetic acupuncture treatment is an ancient Chinese method used to maintain youth and beauty. However, it’s more than beautifying the face as Chinese medicine addresses Jing (essence), Qi (energy) and Shen (spirit) to approach the cause of imbalance. Cosmetic acupuncture aids rejuvenation, promotes relaxation and brings the whole body into balance. You will appear youthful, glowing and healthier, as well as feeling less stressed.
‘I believe we are spiritual beings – energy and information – and the moment we enter an inward journey we can heal and change the course of our life path. My goal is to help and educate you in understanding your body, how it responds to your mind and emotions and therefore change how you feel and believe and then you’ll practice healing yourself.’
