OUR SERVICES
SWEDISH MASSAGE:
The desired outcome for Swedish Massage is primarily that of relaxation and reduction of muscle tension. I combine my Swedish Massage with nine powerful essential oils, designed to bring physical and emotional balance to the body and mind.
HOT STONE MASSAGE:
The application of warm, smooth, oiled, natural basalt stones to rhythmically massage the body. This massage allows deep, thermo-therapeutic healing by relaxing the muscles, decongesting the tissues and easing sore joints. This treatment goes beyond the physical, inducing a sense of deep relaxation.
REIKI:
Reiki is a Japanese form of relaxation that promotes healing.
A Reiki treatment involves the placing of the practitioners’ hands gently on the body in a passive way. The hand positions are changed throughout the treatment. Reiki is not a form of massage as the hands remain still and Reiki is given through clothing. During the treatment, most people experience a subtle warmth from the practitioners hands.
Reiki is a deeply relaxing and healing therapy that is both powerful and gentle.
Reiki works in harmony with all other types of treatments and can often enhance other therapies.
Reiki:
- Promotes physical health, emotional balance and spiritual awareness.
- Generates self healing
- Cleanses the body of toxins
- Balances the body’s energies
- Helps to release old hurt, anger, fear and self pity
- Reduces stress and anxiety
- Promotes love, happiness, success, joy, confidence and inner peace
RAFFERTY ENERGY SYSTEM OF EASING THE TEMPOROMANDIBULAR JOINT (R.E.S.E.T.)
A simple, non invasive system of relaxing the jaw muscles enabling the temporomandibular joint (jaw joint) to reset.
The temporomandibular joint (TMJ) influences the body as a whole, including the body’s skeletal, muscular and meridian systems. By relaxing the jaw muscles, the TMJ is given the opportunity to correctly reset. The TMJ, due to its central role in cranial and spinal dynamics, affects the quality of the brain / muscular feedback system. The slightest tension in the jaw muscles can alter the normal balanced position of the TMJ, causing confused electrical messages to be relayed throughout the body.
R.E.S.E.T. may help with:
- Jaw tension after any dental work
- Clicking jaw
- Grinding / clenching of teeth
- Neck / shoulder soreness / stiffness / discomfort
- Headaches / Migraines
- Sinus discomfort
- Tinnitus
- Sleeping challenges
- Learning difficulties
- Bed wetting / bladder problems
If you have ever had an injury to your jaw, had extensive dental work or suffer from prolonged stress, the jaw muscles may have become hypertonic (tight) and could be out of balance. This puts stress on the TMJ, which once released by R.E.S.E.T, allows a return to balance and normal functioning.
EDUCATIONAL KINESIOLOGY: BRAIN GYM
A dynamic, movement based program to enhance the function and integration of the brain. Educational Kinesiology supports and encourages ‘whole brain’ learning, which can lead to dramatic improvements in reading, writing, language and numerical skills.
The Brain Gym program is suitable for both children and adults. It has been found to profoundly enhance focus, concentration, memory, organisational skills and learning in all areas.
