Why Should You Give Acupuncture a Try?

In today’s world the demands on our time and energy is incredibly high. Acupuncture is one of the most effective drug free ways to maintain both mental and physical health. Stress responses are reduced dramatically giving the body and mind instant permission to align, inducing relaxation and reducing or eliminating physical pain.

Issues That Can Be Addressed

Acupuncture can help treat a range of ailments & health conditions, with the most common including:
  • Sports performance
  • Mental clarity
  • Maintaining energy levels
  • Emotional balance
  • Good digestion
  • Strong immune, vascular & nervous system

Craig and Michelle also have a Preventative Approach for maintaining or enhancing your health and wellbeing, with Acupuncture Treatments being used to maintain good health - even if you're not suffering from any ailments.

How Does Acupuncture Work?

The “Meridians” are the main energy system, or circuit, that houses life force. The pins that we sue during acupuncture are simply energy conductors, that are used to tap into the Meridian system. Acupuncture treatments aim to create balance and harmony, while encouraging the bodies innate natural ability to replenish itself.

Benefits Of Acupuncture

A few of the many ailments that can benefit from Acupuncture treatments include:
  • Sports injuries
  • Acute & chronic pain
  • Women & mens health
  • Stress & Anxiety
  • Digestion & circulation
  • Mental and Emotional imbalances
  • Neurological disorders
  • Low energy & vitality
  • Insomnia
  • Headaches & migraines
  • Asthma & respiratory system

How Many Sessions Will I Need?

If you are feeling in need of a tune-up or you need to de-stress, then you can have an Acupuncture Treatment when you need it. However I would encourage you to have a treatment at least once a month as a maintenance strategy in order to continue your healing process. In more chronic and acute conditions a treatment plan would be discussed at your initial consultation.

Additional Treatments - Moxibustion

Moxibusiton, known commonly as Moxa is made from the dried herb Mugwort, (Artemisia vulgaris). It comes in many forms, with the most common being a cigar shape. When the Moxa is lit it creates a smouldering heat, producing a nurturing warmth. When held over the body it encourages blood flow and increases Qi to the area or organ concerned with your current ailment.

Documented research has shown the benefits of Moxibustion include:
Increasing red and white blood cells
Reduces impact trauma to injury site
Enhances sport performance
Supporting immune, endocrine, digestion, vascular, metabolic and nervous systems
