If practiced faithfully, Pilates yields numerous benefits: Increased lung capacity and circulation through deep, healthy breathing , strength and flexibility particularly of the abdomen and back muscles, mind and body coordination, body awareness , posture and balance.
Harbour Pilates Studio offers mat and equipment based exercises.
This is a series of exercises performed on the floor using gravity and your own body weight and using equipment to provide the resistance for more challenging exercises.
The central aim is for you to discover and condition the deeper, supporting muscles of your body throughout the exercises to improve your posture, balance and coordination to maintain a healthy spine.
Specific programs for pre and post pregnancy, reduce lower back strain and prepare for labour.
Exercise programs designed to help individuals diagnosed with cancer and autoimmune conditions .These exercises are very beneficial for people recovering from treatments and consequences of cancer.
Pilates exercises are modified for people with osteoporosis, arthritis, frozen shoulder, hip and knee problems.
Pilates is very beneficial for the elderly to maintain physical mobility, balance, co-ordination and strength.
Beginners are given a Postural Analysis from which a correctional exercise program is designed. This individual program targets any specific musculoskeletal issues that the individual may have.
One-on-one sessions are available for people with special needs by appointment. Please bring X-rays,CT scans, MRI ,reports.
The Studio is open Monday to Friday. Morning and evening classes.
Small group classes allow everyone to receive individual attention. Just like you have your own personal trainer for one hour with less cost.

Gunal is passionate about teaching and helping people to gain and maintain their functional life with Pilates exercises.
She has sustained horrific injuries due to a traffic accident in 2001 and took up some pilates classes. She believes that Pilates exercises helped her a lot to gain her mobility and her strength. Gunal has started training to teach Pilates in 2002 .She did further training and started PIlates Teachers Course in Wollongong 2005 and opened her Pilates Studio. After studying 4 years She became fully qualified Pilates Practitioner in 2009.
