Detox & Digestive Health Specialists
Focus areas
The Happy Colon Clinic in Shepparton, Victoria, provides colonic irrigation, which is vital for maintaining a healthy, functional bowel and is the basis of optimal health and long life.
What is colonic irrigation?
Also known as colon hydrotherapy, colonic irrigation involves a slow infusion of water through the rectum into the colon. There are no chemicals or medications used. Our therapist is fully qualified, certified worldwide and insured, and all equipment is completely disposable.
What are the benefits of colon hydrotherapy?
Colon hydrotherapy is used to treat a wide range of health issues, including:
- Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)
- Constipation
- Parasites
- Candida
- Stress
- Urinary tract infections (UTI)
- Diarrhoea
- Gas and bloating
- Arthritic pain
- Skin conditions
- Chronic fatigue
- Depression
- Prostate problems
- Weight gain
- Poor immunity
- Irregular bowel movements
Colon hydrotherapy does more than just cleanse your gut; it is a lifestyle change that benefits the following areas of your life:
- Toxin elimination
- Enhanced hydration
- Cancer prevention
- Skin health
- Joint mobility and increased range of motion
- Eliminates brain fog
- Boosts energy
- Improves sleeping patterns
- Helps with weight loss & lifestyle changes
It accomplishes all of this by eliminating the following:
- Mucous
- Gas
- Plaque
- Parasites
- Black, impacted faecal matter
- Candida
- Hard masses of dehydrated faecal matter
In addition to improving your gut health, colonic irrigation allows you to have a better relationship with yourself, your food, and your emotions. All of this leads to a happy home and family, a successful career, and many other things, which is why it is critical to work with your therapist to identify sustainable lifestyle changes.
Closed System vs Open System
Because most people are unaware of the distinction between the two colon irrigation systems, it is our responsibility to educate first-time clients.
To ensure your safety during your colon cleanse, make sure your colon hygienist has not only received in-house training in the use of colon hydrotherapy equipment, but also a training certificate.
The Happy Colon Clinic is pleased to inform you that we use a Closed System for your colonic irrigation.
You can expect the following from a closed system:
- Your therapist explains the system and inserts the rectal catheter, rather than letting you do it yourself.
- An abdominal massage is performed on you while the digestive system is explained to you.
- Stimulation of intestinal muscles
- Hot and cold treatments for toning the colon.
- Your therapist identifies and explains dehydration & unchewed food.
- Treatment can be paused at any time for your comfort.
- The average treatment duration is 25 to 35 minutes.
- Your therapist educates you on dietary and lifestyle factors, the relationship between the digestive system and the nervous system, and general wellbeing.
On the other hand, the following can be expected from an open system:
- Someone, who is not necessarily a colon hydrotherapist, explains the system and instructs you on how to perform your own insertion.
- That person does not need a certificate.
- After having completed your own insertion, the machine is set to 45 minutes.
- Tea and a heat pack are provided, but you are on your own.
- Various instructions could be provided.
- You can use the buzzer if you are cramping or feeling uneasy. In some cases, they may turn off the water, but most of the time you just keep going.
- When you open a shute, there may be noise and odour.
- Because this is your first experience, you have no idea what you are releasing.
