About
Thai Yoga Massage is based on the concept that life force, (otherwise known as chi, prana or energy flow) circulates through the body maintaining health and vitality. This life force is believed to run through 72,000 energy lines, or sens, akin to meridians in Chinese Medicine and the Ayuvedic nadi channels. Through the stresses of our daily lives, these energy lines become blocked, causing pain or sickness.
Thai Yoga Massage opens these channels and clears blockages by using pressure, (using palms, thumbs, feet, elbows and knees) yoga-like stretching and manipulation, creating a thorough and holistic body work to ease ailments and improve overall health and wellbeing.
Thai Yoga Massage
Thai Yoga Massage is an ancient healing system that blends acupressure, yoga and Ayurvedic principles. A dynamic and flowing massage, it uses energy line work and assisted yoga stretches. By working on multiple levels, opening muscles, releasing fascia and clearing energy blockages, the body is restored back to its natural equilibrium.
Grace brings deep presence, intuitive touch and a heart full of loving kindness to her massages. Trained in Northern style Thai Yoga Massage, with a background in Zen Shiatsu, Dance Movement Therapy and Ashtanga yoga, Grace’s life passion is healing through the body.
Sessions are performed on a mat on the floor with the client comfortably dressed, in the beautiful Ashtanga Yoga Centre of Melbourne in Fitzroy.
