Myofascial Cupping is a soft tissue technique that provides profound benefits – from assisting the body in maintaining range of motion, reducing restrictive fascial adhesions, helping with pain, while encouraging optimal hydration levels of soft tissue. It assists in reducing the incidence of injury while maintaining functional soft tissue.

Myofascial Cupping
Cupping is an ancient TCM therapy in which a cup is applied to the skin and the pressure in the cup is reduced (either by heat or suction) in order to draw and hold skin, fascia and superficial muscle tissue inside the cup. Sometimes, while the suction is active, the cup or body part is moved, causing the skin and muscle to be pulled and lifted. This is called dynamic cupping.
The technique draws oxygenated blood to the target tissue and stimulates the bodies healing response.
Myofascial Cupping is effective for:
- Softening restricted muscular tissue and reducing muscle spasm
-
- Encouraging lymph drainage and removal of cellular debris, thus enabling normal lymphatic flow. This promotes healthy circulation and helps strengthen the immune system
-
- Scar tissue post - surgical
-
- Back Pain and Sciatica
-
- Chronic pain complaints
- Lung diseases (especially chronic cough and asthma)
