Gaia School Of Yoga & Flow Of Life
Gaia means the interconnectedness of all living things as well as Mother Earth. The magnificance of Nature constantly inspires me, as do the Arts and meditation experience. I wanted to bring peoples attention to a need to respect and consider Gala more completely, says Jilda Liddicut, Principal of Gala School.
Our interdependency extends from the air we breathe, the food we eat, the sounds we hear, forms we see - all that the senses absorb and serve to reproduce. So, it matters what goes into our air, water and soil as well as the sounds and forms we create.
As individuals we are part of a colossal scheme of things but we need to become more aware of the effect we have on life in and around us - to become more aware and responsible for our roles, of who and how we are in the world. Participation in these unique classes of Yoga and Relaxation provide the opportunity to pause and notice ones physical and mental condition; to halt unproductive tendencies, to rise above limiting concerns, and to access a sense of wholeness, connectedness and purpose: Reintegration.
Herein lies an opportunity to ease tension, and revitalize the whole system, to access peace and the creative flow of life. The yoga practitioner develops resilience, a positive attitude, strength, flexibility of body and mind, enhancing ones level of awareness. By relaxing and increasing ones range of movement, there arises harmony and joy of expression. This is an integral, non-competitive approach to Self Development and creativity embracing the whole person.
