My name is Natasha Rigby and I am Qualified and Registered by Fitness Australia as a Master Personal Trainer and founder of FITFIX Group Personal Training for Women in The Gap/ Brisbane.
FITFIX was created due to my passion for wanting to help women get the most out of life, by incorporating regular exercise and good healthy nutrition into their lives. What better way to do this than with your friends.

Hi ladies
Sometimes stretching takes a back seat and is not considered as important than our workout. I want you to know that it is important and that you should take the time to do it.
Today I have a great yoga stretch that will loosen a lot of over worked muscles. If you have any muscle groups needing a good stretch, let me know and I will do my best to give you some useful stretches.

STRETCHING
Hi ladies
Sometimes stretching takes a back seat and is not considered as important than our workout. I want you to know that it is important and that you should take the time to do it.
- Stretching can help improve flexibility.
- Better flexibility may improve your performance
- Decrease your risk of injuries by helping your joints move through their full range of motion. A muscle that is tight and lacks flexibility will have limited range of motion. Over time, this can increase your risk of injury. Stretching, can improve the range of motion in body, which will decrease the risk of trauma from overload and injury.
Today I have a great yoga stretch that will loosen a lot of over worked muscles. If you have any muscle groups needing a good stretch, let me know and I will do my best to give you some useful stretches.
How To Perform:
- From standing shift your weight onto the left leg.
- Bend the right leg, lifting the foot and cross your right thigh over your left.
- Hook the right foot around the left calf.
- Bring the arms out in front.
- Cross the left arm over the right and bring the palms to touch.
- Lift the elbows while keeping the shoulders sliding down the back.
- When a steady balance is maintained, twist the upper torso to face left and crunch towards your right knee.
- Place right elbow on the inner (medial) side of the right knee.
- Repeat on the other side.
- Beginners: If you have trouble with the balance, rest your backside on a wall. If you can’t hook the lifted foot around the calf, cross at the ankle as shown.
- Advanced: Start to come into a forward bend, bringing the elbows in front of the knees. Bring the thumbs to your third eye.
