About Fen

Fen is currently a Professional member of the Association of Feng Shui Consultants (International) Inc. and Professional member of the International Feng Shui Association (Australian Chapter).

As a qualified Martial Arts Instructor and a graduate of a Bachelor of Education degree in Mathematics, Fen realised that teaching wasn't enough so she changed careers into management hoping to find self-contentment. Approximately 20 yrs ago, Fen developed an interest in Feng Shui. Fen studied and practiced it on herself for fun but it soon led into something more fruitful.

What is Feng Shui

It is an ancient Chinese practice that encourages living in balance with our natural surroundings in order to bring happiness and success in all areas of one’s life. The practice was previously confined to the affluent upper classes so that its secret formulas were always carefully guarded. This secret had been released by Master practitioners and therefore put Feng Shui within reach of anyone and everyone.

Feng Shui is not a religion nor is it superstition. However, it relates to the harmonious flow of energies within and surrounding a building so that positive energies can be enhanced and negative ones depleted. Feng Shui addresses all the ways people can employ these energies so that they are beneficial rather than harmful for the living. The aim of Feng Shui is to use these beneficial energies in a way that allows them to linger and meander through the building bringing prosperity and conversely reducing the negative destructive effects.

The Chinese have a saying “First, luck; second, destiny; third, Feng Shui; fourth, virtues (karma); fifth, education” (Hale, 1999). Luck, personality and karma plays a major role. What we do with our lives and the actions we partake towards others is also important. The education we attain gives us the tools to make sense of the world and Feng Shui can be a powerful force in shaping our lives and thus become part of the complete package. The three lucks, Heaven (Luck and Destiny), Earth (Feng Shui) and Mankind (Karma and Study) determines why our lives are the way they are.
