After returning from India last year with a yoga teacher certificate in hand, and some big dreams in mind. I have learnt an incredible amount teaching all things yoga to some wonderful people in Latrobe city, so much so that this adventure of opening up a Yoga studio in Traralgon, (my home for the last 14yrs) was enevidable. I am very excited to be swapping my welding helmet, overalls and boots from my previous career as a boilermaker, to this new adventure bringing more energy and awarness of life to those in our community.
CAMILLA
With a shared love of health and wellness, Darryl and I have finally started to create our ideal workspace. I am overjoyed at this chance to be teaching yoga to those wanting to help themselves. My passion for working with children is shown throughout my teachings, taking a caring nature and gentle approach to the self is how I feel the best way to experience a yoga practice.

All of the classes will be forever evolving to suit the seasonal climate and also our teachers growing education. Morning classes will be a gentle approach to opening the body up for the day ahead, whilst evening classes will be designed to really strengthen the body and then calm the mind before coming to your resting phase during your night cycle.
On our Timetable you will notice some of the classes are mixed together, we understand how difficult it can be to create time to practice outside of your home, with affordability being another issue, for this we have combined different styles of yoga to create a more rounded and complete experience in just one class.
YOGA
This popular class is based on the understanding that mental and physical health are connected closely, and should be conditioned together. All of the classes at EXPANSION Yoga attempt to coordinate breathing and physical movement, improve focus and concentration, and help all of our clients regain control of their body and mind.
There will mostly be different traditional styles of yoga thought throughout these classes with a contemporary twist to bring life and energy to this present time.
YIN YOGA
Our Yin Yoga classes are aimed at relaxing the body and focusing on stretching the major target areas of the muscular-system. The postures during Yin will vary from seconds to minutes long depending on the teachers goals for the particular class. After a Yin class, you can expect to leave feeling completely at ease emotionally and physically. Adding in a touch of sound healing through singing bowls, this is a great class for anyone who is a little overworked and physically drained.
MEDITATION
Yoga Nidra is our preffered style of meditation. Generally a 30min practice you will lay relaxed on our comfortable mats as your mind is guided into a state of 'yogic sleep', the moment of consciousness between waking and sleeping states. This is a safe space to build mental strength and bring a centered feeling to your body and mind.
YOGA FLOW
This style will incorporate a lot of traditional yoga postures and tai chi styled movements into a very fluid practice. You will connect your breath to your body movements to help you understand how strong and just how important your breath is to every moment you are alive

We have streamlined our pricing options to help make our budgeting easier for the future but most importantly a lot more accessible and cheaper for you to practice yoga in our space more often.
There are now only 3 options and they include:
- 3 months Membership = $19 p/w
- Single class pass = $20
- 8 class pass = $140
To purchase any of these you can either pay for them when you book into a class on the mind body phone app or website. Also by organising your payment with the teacher on the given day.
You can book in your spot in a class and pay when you arrive to make sure you definitely get a space in that class.
Terms and conditions
From the staff at Expansion Yoga, we ask that you please respect our terms and conditions of entry to the studio, payment plans and timetable changes. We have put a lot of love into creating this space for everyone to learn and practice in. We would like everybody to feel welcome to come along and get their yoga on, so here a few things we would like to have out there in black and white for everybody to understand clearly.
