Yoga at Work
Stress has been described as the plague of modern say society. In this fast world, keeping up one’s balance and working effectively under pressure is what Yoga has helped corporate workers achieve.
Yoga is a scientific discipline that offers practical and definitive results through releasing tension in both the body and the mind.
"90% of all visits to primary care physicians are for stress related complaints."
Journal of American Medicine
"On average each employee has 17 unproductive working hours every week." Microsoft Research
Why Practice Yoga?
Why should we practice Yoga? Why not just jog, lift weights, do aerobics. Of course other forms of exercise work your body in various ways, but Yoga is a complete, systematic and time-tested form of exercise that complements your other activities or it is
sufficient just by itself!
It is designed for people of all ages and levels of fitness. You work at your own pace, listening to your body. Don't think you won't get a workout! You'll push your limits but you will do it gently and safely. Yoga not only keeps your body fit and toned, but provides innumerable benefits to the internal systems of the body.
Benefits include:
Improved digestion, stimulation of spinal nerves benefiting the entire nervous system. With a healthy nervous system, youre able to relax and face lifes difficulties more steadily.
Breathing exercises bring oxygen to the blood, which then bathes the cells, rejuvenating the body from the inside out.
While meditation relieves stress and provides insights into the workings of the mind.
Even a little effort at this exercise is repaid almost instantly with greatly increased feelings of well being.
