If you are suffering from tension, a sporting injury or just want some special time to unwind, we will ensure you walk out feeling rejuvenated, healed and deeply relaxed.

Remedial Massage

Remedial Massage is a form of deep tissue massage which is directed on regaining normal muscle and soft tissue flexibility. This then helps to assist recovery from injury, to help prevent injury and reoccurrence. This form of massage works by increasing blood flow to the tissues, assisting with scar tissue breakdown, and encouraging lymphatic drainage.

Our specialised remedial massage therapist will work through your particular concern, as well as understanding your associated activity levels, work status or sporting goals to ensure all relevant areas are targeted.

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep tissue massage is similar to a Swedish massage, but applies a deeper pressure to focus on releasing the deepest layers of muscle tissue, tendons and fascia (the protective layer surrounding muscles, bones and joints).

Sports Therapy

Contrary to its name, sports massage is not only utilised by professional sportspeople or people that exercise heavily. A Sports massage is ideal to treat injuries as well as a preventative treatment which deals with the health of muscle and connective tissue, range of movement, tone, symmetry, balance of muscle and quality of posture. Sports massage focuses on areas of the body that are overused and stressed from repetitive and often aggressive movements.

Trigger Point Massage

Trigger point massage is specifically designed to alleviate the source of the pain through cycles of isolated pressure and release. In this type of massage, the patient actively participates through deep breathing as well as identifying the exact location and intensity of the discomfort.

The results and benefits of trigger point massage are releasing constricted areas in the muscles hence alleviating pain. Receiving massage with trigger point therapy on a regular basis can help naturally manage pain and stress from chronic injuries.

Myofascial Release Therapy

Myofascial Release is a safe and very effective hands-on technique that involves applying sustained pressure or stretches into the Myofascial connective tissue restrictions to eliminate pain and restore motion.

What is Fascia?

Fascia is connective fibrous tissue that surrounds and protects every other tissue, ligament, muscle, bone, tendon and organ in the body.

When your fascia is tight, it can apply excess pressures on your body causing pain in muscles, joints and compressing nerves. Myofascial Release can help to release your fascia, which will remove this excess pressure – as your fascia “unwinds”, so too can your muscular, skeletal and nervous systems start to return to their natural states – freeing you from long-term aches and pains that traditional massage cannot touch.

Many people suffer pain and discomfort after an injury or surgery from the pulling of adhesions or scarring of the fascia which myofascial release can assist in the rehabilitation of.

Swedish Relaxation Massage

Swedish massage therapy is the modality that comes to mind when most people think about massage. As the best-known type of bodywork performed today, one of the primary goals of the Swedish massage technique is to relax the entire body. This is accomplished by massaging the muscles with long gliding strokes in the direction of blood returning to the heart. Swedish massage therapy goes beyond relaxation and is exceptionally beneficial for increasing the level of oxygen in the blood, decreasing muscle toxins, improving circulation and flexibility while easing tension.

It is an ideal massage designed to combat stress, revitalise and restore the body back to balance.

Dry Needling

Dry needling is another form of soft tissue treatment that is useful in conjunction with your massage therapy. Acupuncture and dry needling techniques are similar. Dry needling targets trigger points that are a direct source of pain and aims to restore pain free, normal movement.

The positive effects of dry needling may include decreased pain, increased flexibility and mobility. It can also assist in the relief of associated nerve symptoms such as pins and needles, numbness and headaches.

Body Treatment

Cellulite Treatment

Infrared Body slimming wrapping is a healthy, non-invasive therapeutic treatment that helps reduce the appearance of cellulite, stretch marks and it is effective in aiding with inch and calories-loss, including heat-therapy benefits. The Infrared Body Wrap System burns 600-calories in a single session while melting body fat and cellulite! This thermal sauna blanket treatment is very popular and effective in weight loss fat burning and body slimming. Blood circulation and lymphatic drainage improve metabolism and burns fat to achieve weight loss. Our infrared sauna blanket also helps to remove toxin from the body so that the body can feel refreshed.

Combined with a coffee scrub and cupping massage. Cupping therapy is increasingly being used in weight reduction and the removal of cellulite. When suction is applied on the skin, the reverse pressure causes the cellulite to break up. Blood circulation is stimulated, and the fat and toxins that are released are moved to the lymph drainage network. Since cupping therapy also promotes a more efficient drainage of the lymph nodes, these toxins are quickly eliminated from the body.

Cupping is also known to ease the cords connecting the skin and muscle. In this way, fluid build-up is reduced and the skin develops a more cellulite-free healthy appearance. The amount of toxins in your body plays a part in how severe your cellulite looks, you need the caffeine and antioxidants found in Coffee to get rid of the free radicals, stimulate blood flow, and improve circulation.

Ultimately this helps to smooth out the build-up of fatty tissue while also firming and tightening the skin.

Benefits for this treatment:

  • Purges toxins

  • Increases heart rate

  • Improves immune system

  • Tones skin

  • Relaxes muscle

  • Decreases joint stiffness

  • Relieves pain associated with soft tissue injuries

  • Burns calories

  • Balances endocrine system and hormones

  • Increases circulation and blood flow

  • Increases extensibility of collagen tissue

  • Helps resolve inflammatory conditions

  • Produces endorphin-induced relaxation

Lymphatic Drainage

Keeping your lymph healthy and well drained is one of the most important things that you can do for your body. Increased lymph flow removes harmful substances and toxins from your body’s tissues and increases your immune function.

Lymphatic massage or lymph drainage massage is a technique used to help increase lymph flow.

Lymphatic system is responsible for helping fluid and waste materials leave the body and for regulating the immune system.

When the lymphatic system becomes blocked, fluid builds up and stagnates, causing the entire system to become toxic, making us feel sluggish and more susceptible to viral or contagious diseases.

Lymphatic massage can be very useful in cases of edema, sports injury or for people experiencing a sluggish immune system or those suffering from a lack of energy.

Lymphatic massage can stimulate the opening and increase the volume of lymph flow by as much as 20 times.

It boosts the whole immune system, clears blockages, eliminates toxins, and transports nutrients all over body.

Cupping

Cupping is the term applied to a technique that uses small glass cups as suction devices that are placed on the skin. Suction is created in the cups by placing an inverted cup over a small flame. Flames are never used near the skin and are not lit throughout the process of cupping, but rather are a means to create the heat that causes the suction within the small cups. Once the suction has occurred, the cups can be gently moved across the skin (often referred to as "gliding cupping”). The suction in the cups causes the skin and superficial muscle layer to be lightly drawn into the cup. Cupping is much like the inverse of massage - rather than applying pressure to muscles, it uses gentle pressure to pull them upward. For most patients, this is a particularly a relaxing and relieving sensation. Once suctioned, the cups are generally left in place for about ten minutes while the patient relaxes. Cupping is often used in conjunction with your massage therapy and can sometimes cause bruising in some patients which is caused by the suction of the cups.

Waxing is a form of semi-permanent hair removal which removes the hair from the root. Wax is applied to the skin and clings to the hairs. When the wax is removed, the hairs are stuck to the wax, leaving your skin smooth. Hair regrowth becomes softer and results last longer than other forms of hair removal for four to six weeks, although some people will start to see regrowth in only a week due to some of their hair being on a different growth cycle.
