About Earth and Sky Yoga Studio

Earth and Sky Yoga Studio is brought together with abundant dedication and love. It provides a space of beauty and a sanctuary for the practice of yoga for all levels of student, from beginner to experienced.

We are inspired by the teachings of Anusara (R) Yoga as founded by John Friend. In our classes care is given to physical alignment during each pose to help students find their optimal place of balance, strength and flexibility.

By applying these intelligent alignment principles to the body, students are introduced to the deeply therapeutic power possible from yoga. We incorporate a life affirming Tantric philosophy to encourage our students to connect with their heart and to be light and playful as they practice.

Join us for this 6 week course that will provide you with the foundations necessary for creating a steady and powerful yoga practice. During the course you will be introduced to the fundamental postures of Hatha Yoga and basic breathing awareness. You will learn how to align and move with the breath creating a feeling of strength and freedom in the body, mind and heart.

Anusara Immersion Program 2012

Anusara Yoga Immersions invite you to deepen your yoga practice on every level. Through focussed study of the yoga postures using the Anusara Universal Principles of Alignment and the life affirming Shiva/Shakti Tantric philosophy, we come together to create a supportive community of like hearted yoga practitioners.

This rich and inspiring environment offers you a unique opportunity to experience the transformational qualities inherent in yoga.

For students interested in teaching or who are already teaching, the Immersion Program establishes a solid foundation from which to skillfully share Anusara Yoga. It is the prequisite first step towards becoming an Anusara Certified Teacher.

All weekends include yoga asana, the Universal Principles of Alignment, philosophy and discussion, pranayama, Tantric meditation practices, anatomy and journaling.

The Immersions will be held over 9 weekends in 2012 at Earth and Sky Yoga Studio Marrickville
