Are you feeling overwhelmed, experiencing challenging issues in your life, or perhaps just not feeling right? Then a Kinesiology Treatment is just what the doctor ordered.
Kinesiology means study of movement. Kinesiology originates from chiropractics and applied kinesiology and is based on the ancient Chinese acupuncture theory of chi energy.
Kinesiology is:
- One of the worlds fastest growing complementary medicines
- A combination of gentle, western style muscle monitoring which is aligned with traditional Chinese acupuncture philosophy and aligned with other natural therapies
- Unique and non-invasive in its approach
- Used as an effective and versatile method to identify and correct stress and imbalances in the body. This may be related to structural, chemical and emotional imbalances within the body.
What Can Kinesiology Do For You?
Kinesiology can help you to improve self-esteem, well-being & performance in all areas of your life. A consultation can be beneficial for all age groups and requires relatively few consultations to receive a lasting benefit.
A consultation, which is referred to as a balance in Kinesiology, acts very quickly by stimulating the body to activate its own self-healing, assisting positive changes regardless of the stage of your life, e.g:
- Assist in improving your ability to absorb and retain information efficiently and effectively
- Improve relationships in all areas of your life

MUSCLE MONITORING
What is Muscle Monitoring?
A kinesiologist will use muscle monitoring to work out what may be causing imbalances in the body system. These imbalances are caused when we cannot adapt efficiently to various stressors in our lives.
The muscles will reflect the stress in the central nervous system. This stress creates specific muscle patterns that kinesiologists can use to assess using muscle monitoring techniques.
What To Expect During a Session?
Sessional time is 1 hours.
A suggestion for clients is that they wear comfortable clothing.
We begin with recording a clients history. It is important for clients to know that all information is confidential.
As the session continues, we discuss the problem, situation, behaviour or memory you are experiencing and causing you to experience an imbalance in your life. As we work together in the procedure, you will be involved and in control of the process, and be empowered as you see and experience all the changes as they occur.
You will be introduced to the gentle art of muscle monitoring. Muscle monitoring is used to identify, provide feedback and correct the energy blockages occurring in the body/brain system. As we work together, our aim is to achieve balance in the physical, chemical and emotional areas of your body system.
Clients remain fully clothed during the session. Depending on circumstances, clients may stand, sit on a chair, or lie on a massage table usually face-up, as a number of tests are conducted.
It is important that clients realise that Kinesiology is a self-responsibility model of health care. The outcomes from the balance will need to be adhered to in order to achieve the maximum benefit of the procedure.
