BACH FLOWER REMEDIES
38 flower remedies discovered by Dr Bach are directed at particular characteristics or emotional states. Remedies selected are based on the sort of person you are and the way you are feeling.
Remedies are then blended personally for you.
The effect of taking the remedies is not to suppress negative attitudes but to transform them into positive ones, stimulating ones own potential for self-healing and freeing the physical system to engage fully in fighting disease and stress.
Bach Flower Remedies are also suitable to help animals. Bach Flower remedies can help alter animal behaviour, in fact, it could change your life - and the lives of your animal friends.
MYOFASCIAL RELEASE THERAPY
A gentle blend of stretching and massage, Myofascial Release Therapy uses hands-on manipulation of the entire body to promote healing, release and pain relief.
The therapy is based on the idea that poor posture, physical injury, illness and emotional stress can throw the body out of alignment and cause its intricate web of fascia to become tight and constricted.
The skillful use of the hands in Myofascial Release Therapy is said to release disruptions in this fascial network that links every organ and tissue in the body with every other part.
Pressure on the bones, muscles, joints and nerves is relieved in the process, and balance is restored.
The release of tension once the body has responded to the therapy allows more functional flexibility and mobility of the muscles, fascia and associated structures.
Release may also facilitate the emergence of negative or repetitive emotional patterns, which have interfered with the healing process.
CRANIAL SACRAL THERAPY
Craniosacral Therapy is a subtle and profound healing form, which aids the natural bodily intelligence (both the central and the autonomic nervous systems), by assisting to remove impedements to the flow of cerebrospinal fluid which have been created within the cranium and spinal cord.
A nervous system, which is free of impingement, allows fuller support of the natural processes of healing, and balance is the key to normal function.
A very gentle touch is used to 'listen' to the slow pulsation generated by the cerebrospinal ebb and flow throughout the whole body tissue to find where the motion is disturbed or affected by constriction or resistance within the body structure and consequently where the body function is being affected.
The therapeutic side of the work is in helping the body to re-establish the original movement flow by assisting in the resolution of any resistance patterns.
REMEDIAL/DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE
Remedial Massage involves the use of massage therapy and a wide range of diagnostic techniques to treat a variety of ailments pertaining to the musculoskeletal system. A remedial massage has the ability to provide a comprehensive treatment plan based on their ability to determine the underlying cause of many musculoskeletal problems.
Techniques such as basic and advanced massage such as trigger points, sports injury treatments, myofascial release and lymphatic drainage are used. A strong emphasis is placed on anatomy, basic pathology, as well as symptoms and diagnosis.
RELAXATION MASSAGE
Relaxation Massage helps reduce stress, improve circulation, ease and tone muscles and provide the deep relaxation that allows our minds and bodies to recharge and rejuvenate.
THERAPEUTIC MASSAGE
Theraputic massage can ease postoperative pain, relieve aching muscles, improve range of motion, increase blood circulation and lymph flow, and even reduce blood pressure and heart rate. Each session is tailored to meet your individual health and wellness needs.
MANUAL LYMPHATIC DRAINAGE
MLD involves light, rhythmical massage that aids the body in collecting and moving lymphatic fluid, which plays a key role in delivering nutrients, antibodies and other immune constituents to the tissue cells of the body and removing debris such as toxins, cell waste and dead particles which are then cleansed by clusters of lymph nodes. MLD also works on the nervous system, lowering blood pressure, reducing stress and improving sleep patterns.
POLARITY THERAPY
Polarity Therapy is a gentle, holistic method of treatment, applicable to many health problems and also useful in maintaining health.
Central to Polarity Therapy is the concept of a life energy, which is in constant pulsation from positive to negative poles via a neutral position, creating fields and energetic lines of force.
Disease is a process which occurs when the life energy is blocked or out of balance.
It could be said that there is only one disease, that of disturbance of the energetic system, with different outcomes depending on the nature of the disturbance, and where it occurs.
To overcome these problems Polarity therapy uses a system of gentle bodywork supported by a specific set of exercises, advice on diet and nutrition, and counselling.
REFLEXOLOGY
Reflexology is an holistic healing art and science, performed by a trained reflexologist, who skillfully applies a sequence of techniques to reflexes found on the feet, hands and outer ears. These reflexes correspond to parts of the body and, when intermittent pressure is applied along with positive intent, healing energy results, bringing relaxation and balance.
PSYCHOSOMATIC THERAPY
Psychosomatic therapy is concerned with the analysis of the body mind, and the relationship between the language of body mind communication. Psychosomatic therapy and body mind analysis seeks to bring our awareness to those areas of the body mind where we can eliminate stress, tension and psychosomatic discomfort before they become disease and also assist medical science in its process of cure, by eliminating the source.
HOT STONE MASSAGE
Not simply the "gliding" of heated stones lightly upon the surface of the skin, but rather the stones are used as tools to deliver effective tissue and muscle massage
The heat from the stones relaxes muscles, increase the blood flow to the area being worked on which further accelerates the healing process.
This increase in circulation and the relaxation of the muscles also aids in mental relaxation.
Benefits of thermotherapy include: increased local circulation, improved blood flow to surrounding tissues, and greater ability to transport toxins and waste products from the area.
An ancillary benefit is that the massage stones provide a wonderful tool that creates a sense of depth in the massage
Stone therapy massage can be used to treat a variety of conditions including:
improving the lymphatic and immune systems
normalising body functions
helping your body to heal itself
increasing of cellular activity
improving the flow of blood
inflammation and muscle injury
removing stress and inducing a feeling of well-being
balancing the male and female energies
Cold stones are used to reduce and/or treat inflammation, to remove blood from a swollen area, and to rebalance the male and female energies in the body in order to restore the body to a state of harmony.
Cold stones can also be used for detoxification purposes.
Using hot and cold stones together can improve the functioning of the circulatory system and assist the body with its self-healing processes
