Debra is a qualified massage therapist with over 25 years of experience and has been practicing at Mountain Gate Therapy Centre in Ferntree Gully for 20 years. She offers a wide range of massage services such as myotherapy assessment, myotherapy, remedial massage, deep tissue massage, sports massage, trigger point manipulation, cupping, relaxation, pregnancy massage, aromatherapy, manual lymphatic drainage (MLD), and ear candling. In 2006, Debra became a qualified myotherapist and has treated numerous patients with muscular complaints. She also completed a 3-year Bachelor of Nursing at Deakin University, followed by a BHSc in Clinical Myotherapy in 2017 which further enhanced her skills in muscle therapy, functional movement, prescription exercise, mobilization, and rehabilitation.
Debra believes that massage therapy plays an essential role in healthcare due to its positive effects on physical, mental, and emotional states. Massages help to boost the immune system, relieve pain, reduce stress, lower blood pressure, and alleviate anxiety.
