Chinese medicine focuses on finding and solving the root of a problem to restore balance to the body.
Through a combination of acupuncture, cupping, and herbal therapies, the clinic is committed to helping you restore your health to its fullest potential.
Through his holistic approach, David aims to restore the natural balance of clients by addressing all aspects of their wellbeing.
On your first visit, he will conduct an initial assessment to determine the nature of your condition and what needs to be done so that he can devise an effective treatment plan.
He will explain the cause and outcomes, recommended treatment, and how these can help you recover.
The clinic offers extended hours and flexible appointment times for your convenience.
Services Offered
Acupuncture
In Chinese medicine, the health of the body is determined by the flow of qi or energy through channels.
Ideally, all organ systems will function well and in balance when all energy flows are smooth.
When energy flow is disrupted, organ dysfunctions lead to discomfort or illness.
To address the problem, small needles are inserted at specific energy points along the channels to bring balance to the qi and unblock the energy flow.
Chinese Herbal Medicine
Chinese herbal medicine is effective in assisting the body to regain its natural balance and stimulate its innate healing mechanism.
By combining different herbs, David will make each prescription unique to your condition.
You can use herbal medicine by itself or as a complementary therapy with acupuncture.
Cupping
In cupping, a vacuum or suction is created by using a cup placed on the meridian system.
With the cup drawing some tissues from deep within the body, toxins and old stagnant blood are mobilised to the surface.
As a result, circulation, metabolism, muscular relaxation, and increased blood flow will be enhanced.
The combination of cupping and acupuncture enhances the healing process while simultaneously relaxing and relieving pain.
Moxibustion
The same diagnostic process is used for moxibustion treatments—
identifying the root cause of the body's imbalance.
Moxibustion uses mugwort, which is believed to increase energy flow.
By lighting the mugwort, stagnant and blocked energy are released to the selected energy points.
Because there is no direct contact between herb and skin, you will only feel a soothing and warm sensation.
