Reiki

Reiki is a Japanese method of spiritual healing. The word Reiki translates to “universal life energy”. It is important to note that reiki is not attached to any religion or religious practice. It isn’t a massage nor is it based on suggestions or beliefs. It is a highly effective, gentle kind of energy work utilising spiritually guided life force energy.

Reiki is the life force energy that flows throughout all living things. Reiki practitioners understand that everybody has the innate ability to connect with their own healing energy and utilise it to strengthen themselves and assist others. When your ‘ki’ is free flowing and abundant, it is said that you will be in a positive state of health. When this energy is restricted or blocked this can lead to symptoms of emotional or physical imbalance.

Crystal Healing

Crystal Healing is a method of alternative medicine where crystals are utilised to cure ailments and to fight against disease. It is believed that crystals act as conduits for healing – enabling positive, healing energy to flow into the body as negative disease is released.

There are no scientific studies on the efficacy of crystal healing, however, there is work that suggests that crystal healing may induce placebo effect in a client who receives this kind of treatment. It is recognised in several medical fields to a certain extent, as a kind of therapy that can assist with relaxation and stress management.
