Dietetics & Nutrition
An accredited Dietitian has received the most in-depth graduate level education of any nutrition related profession. An accredited Dietitian is your best choice for your nutrition related health needs and goals.
Our lead Dietitian is Carmen Li. You can read about Carmen’s professional background. Carmen’s provides nutritional education, advice and support across four broad categories of health.
Our Dietetics and Nutrition services begin with an initial consultation where we complete an assessment of your medical history, lifestyle, diet and activity levels. We then collaborate with you (and your doctor, physio or other specialist- if applicable) to formulate a plan that considers your goals and expectations, draws upon our clinical expertise and is supported by the latest scientific evidence.
Remedial Massage
Remedial Massage is a safe form of manual therapy popularly utilised to address everyday stress, aches and pains. Remedial Massage can be beneficial as a standalone service or as an adjunct to other health services such as Physiotherapy. So who is remedial massage good for? Should it hurt? And what’s the difference between it and other types of massage like Swedish or Sports massage?
Sports Massage
Sports Massage is utilised by athletes to prepare for or recover from a performance. Generally, sports massage techniques are more vigorous than those utilised in a relaxation massage. A sports massage doesn’t need to be painful in order for it to assist with your preparation or recovery from an athletic or physical performance. However, many athletes prefer a heavier input that borders on being painful.
You don’t need to be a superstar athlete to have a sports massage. If you’re a recreational runner, touch footy player, or love to go for long walks, or play golf, you will probably find that your preferred recreational activity is easier and more enjoyable to perform if you integrate a regular massage into your routine.
Yoga
Yoga is an ancient system of philosophies, principles and practices derived from the Vedic tradition of India and the Himalayas, more than 2500 years ago. It is a system that recognises the multi-dimensional nature of the human person, and primarily relates to the nature and workings of the mind, based on experiential practice and self-enquiry.
