Auriculotherapy is based on the proven correspondences between locations on the external ear and the internal organs and systems of the body. The ear acts like an input/output terminal in direct contact with the central nervous system.
Ear acupuncture is now well established as an efficient and quick procedure that has very few side effects. The main applications are pain (migraine, musculoskeletal pain), allergic disorders, and all functional diseases, such as inflammation, proneness to infection, gastrointestinal disorders, and gynecological and medical disorders.
