About Children's Health

The Centre for Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture offers supportive care for babies and children.

Because children’s bodies are developing at a faster rate than occurs at any other point in their lives, their organ systems are very sensitive. Immune-systems are developing and the digestive systems are fragile, opening them up to the possibility of illness.

TCM aims to support and restore balance to the body by using a gentle, non-needle method similar to acupressure for children to stimulate acupoints and meridians using rubbing, tapping and pressing methods on the surface of the body. No needles are used and children generally find the treatment sessions very relaxing and fun, as no pain or discomfort is felt. 

We can teach parents some basic techniques so you can continue treatments at home.
