Welcome to Bridging The Barriers

Bridging the Barriers is a professional, private therapeutic company that works with individuals, families and organisations and specialises in addiction treatment.

Our aim is to assist and provide support to individuals, families and organisations in understanding the nature and dynamics of addiction and to gain freedom from the pain and suffering that addiction has had in their lives.

We offer premier treatment within a highly sensitive, confidential, discreet and supportive environment. As an innovative company we are constantly sourcing and implementing the latest cutting edge technologies and resources that will ensure success in our addiction treatment program.

Our team consists of highly trained health professionals who have extensive experience in working with addiction.

Healing Addictions

Bridging the Barriers are Holistic Addiction Program Providers for individuals with addictions, and the families of people with addictions needing help to free their loved ones of those addictions.

Unlike government funded programs and private health insurers, Bridging The Barriers provides innovative 21st century technologies within a discrete and nurturing environment that allows the family to be an active part of the solution.

Addiction impacts not only the addicted person, but causes immense heartache and distress on their families, friends and loved ones. Bridging the Barriers assists and supports the addicted person and those close to the addicted person in learning to understand addiction, and in the process become empowered to be able to make choices that benefit themselves and their loved one.

Intervention

Bridging the Barriers are intervention specialists for families impacted by addiction and needing direction and guidance in getting their loved ones into treatment.

Unlike existing information and beliefs about how to get people into treatment, Bridging the Barriers educates and supports the family to create a safe and loving environment so that their loved one will choose treatment above addiction, reassuring the family that they are able to rest easy in the knowledge that their loved one is receiving the best possible treatment.

Advocacy

Bridging the Barriers are highly qualified Addiction Advocates for people impacted by addiction, requiring professionals who understand how addiction impacts on lives to negotiate on their behalf.

Unlike current beliefs about addiction, Bridging the Barriers views addiction as a series of complex creative adjustments which have been overused. This overuse has resulted in the production of negative consequences in their life, which in turn has made life unmanageable*.

Traditionally addiction has been viewed as a behavioural problem, where if the addict really wanted to stop, they would. Within this model many addicts over time have experienced punitive consequences within the legal system and society in general, with the addiction being left untreated.

However, at Bridging the Barriers we believe that addiction requires specialised treatment and support, and we will advocate on your behalf to negotiate appropriate care and treatment for you or your loved one.

Consultancy

Bridging the Barriers consults to individuals, families and organisation requiring advice in addiction, and for professionals seeking understanding of the latest addiction treatment protocols and needing a clear understanding of addiction.
