For over 15 years Breaking Free and Dianne Spencer’s name has been synonymous with recovery and healing, according to people from all over Australia, who have been able to finally heal, from the effects of childhood sexual, emotional, physical, verbal and mental abuse, thanks to Dianne’s programs.
The Breaking Free programs and services have grown substantially, in order to keep up with growing demand from people, desperately wanting to know “how to” deal with the issues they are facing in their daily lives.
Breaking Free’s speciality is equipping people with the right tools, skills and techniques that work for them, as well as helping them to understand the reasons behind the behaviours and thoughts that plague them. Any issue you are dealing with, can be resolved with the right awareness, information and tools.
Dianne Specialises in teaching you “how to” heal the wounded parts of yourself. When you experience emotional pain or trauma, our fight/flight survival instinct switches on and you disconnect and numb out – flight. This means you disconnected from your feelings because it was too painful to feel them. What happens then is the pain of the original trauma, gets trapped/frozen in your body and your emotional brain, then over the years it keeps coming to the surface, because the threat has past, and now it needs and wants to heal. Unfortunately by now, you have developed survival patterns and you just do what you have always done, numb out and push it down. This is the cycle you must change! If you ever want to be free from the experiences of the past and to prevent them from recycling in your present and future.
Parents are seeing wonderful positive changes in their childrens’ behaviours both at home and school, as they learn new ways to break the negative patterns, they have been reinforcing in their children, the results are; the battles stop and peace and respect become the new foundations of the families we work with.
The walls we put up to protect ourselves, are now the prison walls we live behind.
Dianne has a wealth of academic qualifications, however she points out that in her opinion her most affective “qualification” has come from her own personal healing journey and experiences. Dianne’s childhood is an horrific story of over 16 years of pain, blame and all forms of abuse, yet she is a wonderful example, that when you have the right tools, and apply them, you can be free to live a peaceful happy life.
