What To Expect During a Counselling Session?
People book in for Counselling sessions for a range of reasons. Often they are not coping with life at the moment. They may be anxious and worried, depressed, grieving, argueing too much with their children, experiencing a relationship breakdown or not managing the various difficulties in their life. A few sessions is a good start to move in a better direction with a range of strategies.
I may recommend a longer, more integrative style of Psychotherapy, which allows a person time to understand the areas in their life where they are struggling. This style of Therapy with people provides a more integrated and reliable perspective of how they can move forward in their life in an ongoing & more satisfying way.
Longer term Therapy may also include journal writing, understanding of dreams and working with the unconscious.
