I became a counsellor because of my relentless curiosity about what makes life rich, fulfilling and meaningful; and my interest in understanding why people are the way they are. My passion is about helping people along their journeys to fulfill what they wish or choose to achieve in life.
A bit more about myself
I was born and grew up in Germany. In my mid 20s it was Love that lead me to leaving my home country and immigrating to Australia. After completing my finance degree, I worked in that capacity for several years. Today I am happily married with 3 children and am following my true passion in counselling. I am able to provide counselling services in both English and German.
My approach
I predominately draw from attachment theory, intersubjective and interrelation theory, neuroscience and neurobiology of attachment, cognitive science, trauma studies, family systemic thinking and the exploration of consciousness. My approach is practical and deep.
I also use Eye Movement Desensitisation & Reprocessing (EMDR) in working with trauma and issues relating to unhelpful belief systems.
I am commitment to ongoing professional development and training and I undergo regular supervision.
I offer a nonjudgmental, confidential, safe, and encouraging environment, travelling alongside my client/s to reach their goals in life.

We live in a fast paced and complex world, full of challenges (routines, commitments, worries, expectations, should's, conflicts) where change is constant and inevitable. As so many forces are working upon us it is extremly difficult to cope under so much pressure. It is not surprising we feel unbalanced, not ourselves, overwhelmed, stuck or simply don't know how to get back on track.
This is a very confusing, frustrating and lonely experience.
To seek therapy is a brave and rewarding step towards finding deeper insight and clarity. I will help you get to the root of the problem so the healing-process can begin with the goal to regain control and improve one's emotional health and wellbeing.

Humans are wired to need emotional connection! And we know that when couples are securely connected to each other, they can cope with whatever gets thrown their way easier and are more resilient and healthy overall. When our connection is at the threat off its loss, we react quickly and deeply and it can easily tear partnerships apart.
If your relationship isn't going so well and you cannot understand how to improve it, let me help you understand what's going on, why even though you put every effort in to resuce your relationship it continues to go downhill. The goal is to repair and re-build your bond into a secure and lasting one.
I usually encourage couples to either work weekly in 60 min sessions or fortnightly in 90 min session to start-off the journey of (re-)building their happy relationship. Depending on your unique situation, we will eventually taper out sessions til you as a couple can navigate through the storms of life without me.
