Due to covid restrictions, all face-to-face classes – Brush & Ink (Adults), Brush & Ink (Children), Yoga in Maribyrnong*, Merri Yoga – are suspended until at least the evening Thursday September 2nd.
Any yoga or brush and ink students requiring help or advice over this period is always welcome. Richard’s phone doesn’t have a ‘missed call’ capacity, so at least leave a number on his voicemail. Emails can be sent but it is a slower and more indirect form of communication.
Cancelled classes - *The Maribyrnong Community Centre organizes and takes enrolments for the yoga classes Richard teaches there. The centre has its own policy on cancelled classes which may differ from the classes Richard takes outside the centre.
If there is space, make-up classes will be offered, or for those who have paid for classes that have not gone ahead because of covid, your credit can be taken on into Term 4 classes or money returned to your account.

The Teacher, Richard Liddicut
- Richard's mature teaching style is a positive, down to earth synthesis of body, mind and spirit arrived at after 40 years' regular practice, ongoing study and teaching with a clear relationship to the arts and creativity.
- 1973-1985 received extensive yoga teacher training under the late Dorotea Mangiamele, founder of Mangala Studios of Yoga and Creative Dance.
- Has taught yoga since 1975.
- Is a full member of the International Yoga Teachers Association (I.Y.T.A.)
- Through his practice of Japanese ink painting and calligraphy brings an artistic and creative dimension to the postures, concentration and flow of energy in the yoga classes.
WORKSHOP
THE UNFOLDING SELF
Tuesday evening Brush & Ink 6:30-8:30 pm is a small class and can be tailored to participants from unfolding self workshops so that they can still keep in touch with the brush and ink and mind (Refer Brush & Ink Course).

This workshop combines yoga and brush and ink techniques in a way that takes the student into an inner, fluid and interconnected world where the outer layers of the ego melt away to reveal our inner nature.
Pool of resources: Yoga - movement, posture, sound, relaxation, concentration and meditation practices; Brush and Ink - Ink Mixing, Japanese Ink Painting and Japanese Calligraphy techniques, Poetry and Intuitive Painting.

Merri Yoga with Richard Liddicut

APRIL - JUNE 2023
An integral and creative approach to the practices of Asana (posture), Pranayama (breath), Pratyahara (relaxation) and Dhyana (meditation).
Students will practise yoga stretches, postures and movement, sound, mantra, breathing, relaxation and sitting.
Partner work also forms a part of the classes.
CLASS TIME: WEDNESDAYS 5.45pm to 7.15pm
LEVEL: General - at least 1 term (8-10 classes) of yoga experience with Richard or elsewhere is necessary.
